HIP FLEXION, ROTATION & CORE WORK

Today we will start by taking you through your first warm up sequence that will ensure you are ready and primed for the hip flexion, rotation and core work to follow. We will be educating you on how to hold your body to allow your legs to work deeper into their range and challenging you with some standing active flexibility to get you used to working on one leg. Over the next 6 – 8 weeks, we ask you to work at your own pace and progressively overload your body by making the movements more challenging. You can do this by adding more reps, lifting you leg higher towards you and even adding resistance like a band or ankle weights.

HIP EXTENSION, ROTATION, ABDUCTION & ADDUCTION

On day 2 of the program, we teach you another amazing movement sequence to move your entire body ready for the hip extension, rotation, abduction and adduction work to follow. We take you through drills that will allow you to actively use your gluteus, hamstrings and adductors to extend you legs effectively and build strength through your entire hip rotation range by paying close attention to the placement of your pelvis through core control.
Over the next 6 – 8 weeks, we ask you to work at your own pace and progressively overload your body by making the movements more challenging. You can do this by adding more reps, lifting you legs higher towards and behind you and even adding resistance like a stronger band or ankle weights. – Enjoy, this day is a pain in the butt – LITERALLY

STANDING STABILITY AND ACTIVE FLEXIBILITY

Day 3 is our favourite day of the program because after our 3rd and final warm up sequence we get you up and working on one leg. We work into hip flexion, rotation, extension with some standing skills that will test your balance, focus and control. We even visit some standing split lines, paying close attention once again to the position of the entire body to help you get the most out of your body in these more challenging skills.
At the end of day 3, we direct you on how to approach your ‘Intro to Active Flexibility’ program going forward.
GOOD LUCK ?
